Janesa Velazquez

Creator, Little House of Yoga

Janesa believes that our individual peace and Liberation is inherently interconnected with that of all the beings, person, animal or plant.  To care for others is to care for ourselves; and tending to our own care extrapolates out into the world. 

 

Using a trauma informed, through a social justice lense, she endeavors to lovingly guide practitioners through yoga practices that reacquaint them with the best parts of themselves. She leads classes that honor yoga's roots by infusing yoga philosophy and traditional teachings. Janesa aspires to foster a brave and compassionate space to embody and connect with oneself and community.

Ashley Asti
she/her

Certified Yoga Teacher, Poet, Author

Ashley Asti is a storyteller and poet who has written a handful of books, including, At the Threshold,  Up: A Love Letter to the Down Syndrome Community, and I Have Waited for You: Letters from Prison. In her  work, she’s had the blessing of working alongside and learning from the Down syndrome  community, Parkinson’s community, and those impacted by mass incarceration. She’s taught yoga to  elders, hosts a podcast called “I’m Curious” and, in her day job, works as a nonprofit  Communications Director. She lives in Alexandria, VA, with her growing collection of plants.

Zaia Ortiz
she/her

Healing Artist, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner

Zaia is a unique healing artist.
Her ability to hold space for others while transmitting divine intervention is truly a blend of science and intuition.
Living and studying in South East Asia enabled Zaia’s ability to recognize and connect to subtle energy through deep meditative practices and a disciplined yogic lifestyle. Returning to the
Western world, she delved into the intricacies of the nervous system, diving deep into psycho-somatic awareness, training as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and sharing trauma
sensitive yoga in domestic violence shelters.

 

Driven by an unwavering commitment to the exploration of human expansion, Zaia continued to unravel her own personal development. Eventually connecting with the master plant practices of original tribes in Colombia, Peru and Brazil. Through her own initiations with various master plant medicines she realized that the greatest truth any of us will ever have access to is held within our ability to feel. She unlocked the supernatural realities we all live within through the breath, sound and connection.
 

She now shares earth based embodiment sessions via psychedelic assisted therapy,
Breathwork, cacao gatherings, retreats and yoga. She desires to live in a world where we are all free to feel, and able to relate from a state of rich presence, creativity, loving collaboration and
possibility.

Adriana Valverde
she/her/ella

Certified Yoga Teacher, Chef, Author

Adriana is a certified and registered yoga teacher focusing on trauma informed and inclusive restorative practices. You can participate in Spanglish chair yoga, restorative yoga and pranayama and meditation techniques. Adriana is going on 12 years of teaching yoga practices, 18 years teaching cooking and a lifelong journaler and writer. She loves her sons, her dogs, hammocks and pour over coffee.
